Questions, answered
Every journey is yours to shape.
Can I change the itinerary?
Yes, and most of our guests do. Each journey on this page is a starting point. We can change the route, the length, the pace, the season and the stays, add a city or a wildlife park, or take out anything that doesn't suit you. You see a draft, tell us what to change, and we refine it until it feels like yours.
Are these group tours?
No. Every Satark journey is private: just you and the people you travel with, with your own guide and driver. Nothing is shared with strangers, and nothing runs to a group timetable.
Can we combine two journeys, or add Bhutan or Nepal?
Yes. Many guests pair a festival with a crafts journey, or end in the Himalaya. We also design journeys across Bhutan and Nepal, so one trip can cross borders smoothly.
Are the dates fixed?
Only where a festival sets them. Holi falls in March, Diwali in October or November, the Hornbill Festival in December and the October Full Moon around the folk festival at Jodhpur. Every other journey runs whenever suits you.
Where will we stay?
We choose stays for character and comfort: heritage homes, boutique hotels and, where it suits the journey, warm family-run homestays. Tell us what comfort means to you and we will match it.
How active are these journeys?
Gently paced, with time to rest. High-altitude journeys such as Planet Ladakh build in days to acclimatise. If you have mobility needs or prefer a slower rhythm, we plan around them.
How do we begin?
